What is Acupuncture and how does Acupuncture work?
Acupuncture is a Traditional Chinese Medicine that has been practiced for centuries.
Acupuncture works by facilitating free flow of Qi (vital energy) aiming at balancing and harmonizing our body internally. Acupuncture points stimulate several body systems to release the necessary chemicals/hormones in order to promote healing the body. Upon needle insertion, it creates localized and centralized reactions in the body, benefiting the Nervous system, Digestive system, Cardiovascular system, and immune system addressing the root cause.

Does Acupuncture needles hurt?
Acupuncture needles may feel like a small pinch when inserted. Acupuncture needles are almost as thin as human hair. But the sensation does not last longer than few seconds.
What to expect during Acupuncture treatments?
During your initial consultation, your acupuncturist will ask detailed questions about your health concerns, goals, and go over health history. Based on all the gathered information, we will be able to diagnose you from the TCM point of view and formulate a treatment plan. After consultation, you will then receive your first acupuncture treatment for 25-30 min with the necessary accessory therapies to supplement your treatment. This may include cupping, gua sha, tui na, and/or moxibustion. Initial appointment could take around 45min-1hr and 30-45 min for follow up treatments .
How many treatments are needed to resolve my health concerns?
Considering every person is different and our treatments are tailored based on individual needs, the number of treatments are based on the health concerns of the person. After initial consultation, your acupuncturist will be able to determine the frequency and number of treatments needed to address your health concerns.
Do we accept health insurance?
No, at this moment, we do not accept health insurance. But we could provide you with necessary documents so that you could submit your health insurance.
